Rollers
Road, fill, car park or sub-foundation: whatever the job, if compaction is inadequate, every layer built on top carries a risk. Choosing the roller is therefore a decision to be made at the start of the project. MOTTO supplies the light equipment (vibratory plates, tampers, walk-behind rollers) and spare parts of BOMAG, the German manufacturer specialised in compaction technology. We source heavy rollers on request for export projects and ship to our customers abroad from Istanbul.
Types of roller
Soil compactor (single drum). A single steel drum at the front and rubber tyres at the rear. Used for deep compaction of fill, sub-base and granular materials. A padfoot drum option is available for cohesive soils.
Asphalt roller (tandem). A machine with steel drums front and rear, designed to leave the surface even and closed after asphalt paving. Different width and weight classes exist for urban roads, motorways and airport work.
Pneumatic tyred roller. Seals the asphalt surface with a kneading action; it usually works together with a tandem roller.
Light compaction. In trenches, excavation backfill and confined areas, BOMAG compactors (vibratory plates, e.g. BVP 10/30) and tampers (e.g. BT 60 E, BT 65) are used.
Choosing the right roller
- Material: Rock fill, sand and gravel, clay or asphalt: each calls for a different drum type and vibration setting.
- Layer thickness and area: On large areas a heavy soil compactor is efficient; in confined areas, light compaction equipment.
- Project specification: The compaction values and measurement method required by road authorities determine the machine class. BOMAG’s compaction measurement systems can make your work easier here; we state in the quotation which system is available on which model.
- Country of operation: Fuel quality, emission rules and climate affect the choice of engine and equipment.
Spare parts and service
We supply genuine spare parts for BOMAG machines. You can find the number you are looking for in our extensive BOMAG part number list, add it to the quote basket, or send us your list of numbers on WhatsApp. Planning filters and wear parts together with the machine order reduces the risk of downtime on remote sites.
Export
When exporting BOMAG machines from Türkiye we plan the shipping method according to the size of the machine and settle the export documents at the quotation stage. If there is a local BOMAG representative in your country, we review the warranty and service conditions together.
Let us choose the BOMAG roller that suits your project together: ask for a quotation or write to us on WhatsApp.

Frequently asked questions
What is the price of a BOMAG roller?
The price is determined by the model, equipment and place of delivery. We do not publish prices on the site; for a quotation it is enough to tell us the machine type and your job.
Can a soil compactor be used on asphalt?
Generally no; a tandem or pneumatic tyred roller is recommended for asphalt.
Do you have machines in stock?
Stock varies; we tell you the current situation when you ask for a quotation.
Do you provide operator training?
If vibration setting, speed and number of passes are not used correctly, even the best roller cannot achieve the required compaction. With delivery we give guidance on the correct use and daily maintenance of the machine, and for our export customers we state the scope of this support in the quotation.
